Enhance Athletic Performance
If you’re looking to become more athletic, jump higher, throw faster or run faster, check out this concept:
1️⃣Complex training is a widely studied method of enhancing athletic performance. The idea is pretty simply as outlined in the picture.
2️⃣Pick a heavy compound movement, then superset it with a biomechanically similar movement (squat and jump for example).
3️⃣This method is presumed to work because your body adjusts to the heavy load since it has to produce large amounts of force to lift it, but it doesn’t have to overcome that weight anymore in the second move, leading to better performance.
Squats: 5x3 80%
Superset with vertical jumps: 5x3 as high as possible
